Local artist Jess Moskaluke has inspired a new award from the Saskatchewan Country Music Association.

The SCMA says the “Jess Moskaluke Youth Award,” is meant to at find and develop young talent in the province’s country, folk, and Americana music scene.

One deserving artist will win the annual award, and with it a 15-hundred dollar bursary, to further the artist’s development through educational or professional opportunities, along with a personal Zoom session with Jess herself, her record label and management team, for advice and networking opportunities.

The winner also receives a vocal training session with Jess’ vocal coach, , the chance to perform at the SCMA Awards Show, and sponsored membership in the SCMA for three years.

Applications are being accepted for the first-ever Jess Moskaluke Youth Award until May 30, with the winner to be announced in August.
