So, I recently stumbled on Plus One while scrolling through My List on Netflix, and since it had that little leaving soon banner, I thought I should give it a watch before it was gone for good. At first, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. The movie kicks off with Ben and Alice, our main duo, who aren’t exactly winning any popularity contests. Both are not on their best behaviour at their friend’s wedding, but hang in there, because these crazy kids eventually win you over in the quirkiest ways!

One of the best parts? Ed Begley Jr. pops up as Ben’s dad, and if you’re like me, you’ll enjoy those “Oh hey, I know that actor!” moments that make the movie feel even more familiar and fun.

While Plus One might not be something I’ll watch on repeat, it’s definitely worth checking out at least once. Just a little advice though, this one’s for the grown-ups. With plenty of swearing and cheeky humor, it’s perfect for an evening when you just want to kick back and relax.

At just 90 minutes, it’s an easy watch that lets you switch off your brain and enjoy some good laughs. So, if you’re in the mood for a fun, no-pressure rom-com, give Plus One a shot before it leaves Netflix!
