SaskEnergy and BGC Yorkton are joining forces to support local youth as part of SaskEnergy’s Share the Warmth Days.
The event, which includes games, crafts, snacks, and distributing essential winter items, is the fourth of six celebrations across Saskatchewan marking the 30th anniversary of the Share the Warmth program.
BGC Yorkton is one of 106 organizations that received grant funding this year, allowing them to provide warm winter accessories to over 100 community members. With growing demand for support, the initiative helps ensure local children and families have the necessities to face the harsh winter conditions.
SaskEnergy has invested $100,000 in grants this year, doubling last year’s total, and has contributed over half a million dollars to community organizations since 2012.
