North Battleford RCMP have charged three people in connection with a bank robbery in Landis in November, along with a string of ATM thefts and attempted thefts, that occurred across south and central Saskatchewan between November 22 and New Year’s Day.
Following an investigation that saw multiple RCMP detachments and units team up with Crime Stoppers, authorities were able to connect the Landis bank robbery with incidents in 13 other communities, including Lemberg and Wolseley.
As the investigation continued, Mounties were led to home in Biggar, where they executed a search warrant on February 5, which resulted in the recovery of items believed to be connected to the ATM thefts, along with the Landis bank robbery.
A total of 64 charges have been laid against 36-year-old Sheena Benoit (a.k.a. Sheena Harrabek), 33-year-old Joshua Meszaros, and 48-year-old Jeremy Seery of Rosetown.
Benoit and Meszaros are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 7, while Seery will appear there on April 14.
