The Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department was called to extinguish two fires during the first half of February.
The brigade’s first call of the month was on February 5, to a vehicle fire on Highway 357 about six kilometres east of the intersection with Highway No. 8, in which the owner of a pickup had smelled smoke, and the cab became engulfed in flames.
No one was injured, but the vehicle was destroyed.
Meanwhile, on February 11, firefighters were called to a Carment Avenue address, to find a large shed or garage fully engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters about an hour to put out the blaze, and the cause remains unknown.
