This long weekend was truly special! My childhood friend, whom I haven’t seen in over 6 years, came to visit with her kids. It was a big deal, not just for us, but for my kids, too. Her’s are 11 and 9, mine 7 and 4, so of course the littles were super excited to have “big” friends to play with. This lead to more giggles, silliness, and yes, a tad more bickering than usual with my kids. 😅

Watching them reminded me so much of my sister and me when we were young. It sparked another wave of appreciation for my mom.

At one point, I texted my friend, “Well, you’re getting to see the real me this weekend! The kids are fighting non-stop, my anxiety is through the roof, and my patience is at an all-time low.” Her sweet and supportive reply was exactly what I needed to hear. ❤️

Later that evening, after a trip to the mall, she surprised me with this mug.

But wait for it. Not only did it say “Best Mom Ever” when you looked inside it said this!

I cried. ☕️💖
