Residents gathered at the Gallagher Centre Lobby this morning as the Yorkton Kinsmen Maulers Hockey Club officially unveiled a new Book Nook. The initiative, built on a “Take a Book, Leave a Book” concept, aims to foster literacy and community engagement.

Maulers Secretary Terry Tyson acknowledged the long process in bringing the project to life, while Mauler alumni and NL Construction President Dustin Nehring called it a “no-brainer” to give back to the team and community. A key contribution came from Ray Bailey, who helped fund the project in memory of his late father.
The City of Yorkton, NL Construction, Ray and Crystal Bailey, and Source Embroidery all played crucial roles in making the Book Nook a reality. Located at the front lobby doors, the space is now open for all to enjoy.
