Winnipegosis RCMP have responded to a drowning on Lake Winnipegosis.

It happened yesterday (Thu), afternoon, when they received a report of a 70-year-old woman possibly falling through the ice.

The victim was believed to have gone for her regular walk with her dogs, and failed to return home.

A search by police and the local fire department located the woman’s body, and she was pronounced dead in hospital.
