The Foam Lake Flyers have earned their second championship of the 2024/25 Senior hockey season.
Isaac Schacher scored with 7:29 left in the first overtime to lead the Flyers to a 7-6 victory over the Drake Canucks in the deciding Game 5 to capture the Long Lake Hockey League championship.
The Flyers forced overtime after Adam Osczevski tied the game at 6-6 with 1:29 left after Canucks captain Cam Blair gave them the lead earlier in the 3rd period.
The championships came just over a week after the Flyers earned their first ever provincial title capturing the Senior “C” tile with a three game series win over the Wilkie Outlaws.
