New court date set for man charged with second degree murder in January death on Piapot First Nation

A man charged in connection with a death on the Piapot First Nation has made another court appearance.

Southey RCMP discovered the body of 30-year-old Melanie Asham-Obey of the Pasqua First Nation, at a Piapot home on January 2.

40-year-old Robin Kaiswatum was arrested January 4 and charged with Second Degree Murder.

He appeared in Regina Provincial Court Friday, and was remanded in custody to April 11.
