Away We Grow Child Care Inc. is pleased to announce plans to build a brand-new, purpose-built childcare facility to meet the growing demand for licensed childcare in Melville.
With over 125 children on our waitlist, this project is essential for supporting local families, boosting workforce participation, and driving economic growth in the region.
The new facility will more than double our current capacity, increasing from 67 to 141 licensed spaces, and bring all their staff and children together in one cohesive space.
This modern, thoughtfully designed environment will house two Early Learning Centres, offering high-quality care and addressing the critical childcare shortage in our community.
The need to relocate from our current facility has become urgent due to its age and design challenges and the new, modern facility will meet current childcare regulations and enhance the experience for both children and staff.
Location details are still being finalized and will be shared once confirmed.
To make this vision a reality, they’re launching a major fundraising initiative to raise $2 million through community fundraisers, corporate sponsorships, and grants. T
his will supplement government funding from the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement, which provides nearly $1.1 billion over five years for childcare in Saskatchewan.
Their first big fundraiser will be a Family Golf Tournament and Raffle Draw at the end of May.
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are now open and partnering with Away We Grow will allow business to help address a pressing community need and play a meaningful role in supporting Melville’s future economy and workforce.
