The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team has been called in to investigate, after a police cruiser struck a pedestrian near Punnichy.
It happened late last (Tue) night, when Mounties received a firearms-related call from the Kawacatoose First Nation.
One of the responding officers was travelling on the Kandahar grid road, when the cruiser struck a pedestrian who was on the road, about 600 metres from the Kawacatoose community site.
A 16-year-old boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, and was eventually airlifted to a Saskatoon hospital.
