Over 17 thousand dollars was raised from the 36th annual Student-Teacher Benefit Hockey game held last night (Thurs) in Yorkton.
This year’s beneficiary was Halle Thompson, a Grade 3 student at Yorkdale Central School who was born with a rare bowel disorder resulting in many trips to the hospital and the need for ongoing medical treatment.
Reeve says there are many thanks to all participants, schools, sponsors, and businesses that contributed to the game and also wanted to give a big thanks to the Student leadership groups at the Yorkton Regional and Sacred Heart & co-organizer Nick Jonassen for all their work in putting it on.
The Teachers got the bragging rights beating the Students, 10-7 at the Westland Arena.
