A 37-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing a vehicle into a home while impaired in Dauphin.
RCMP were first dispatched around 8:20 p.m. on April 14th to a report of a possible impaired driver near Main Street.
While en route, they received a second report of a vehicle colliding with a residence in the Triangle Trailer Court.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspect in the driver’s seat and detected a strong smell of alcohol. An open bottle and unstamped cigarettes were also found nearby.
The man was arrested and later refused to provide a breath sample.
His charges include impaired and dangerous driving, mischief over $5,000, and possession of unmarked tobacco.
The vehicle was impounded for 180 days. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
