**Saskatchewan reported five new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 582.
Of the new cases, four are in the La Loche area, while one is in the Regina region; ten people are in hospital, including 3 in intensive care; 13 more recoveries, leaving 178 active cases.
**An Emergency Services Officer from the RM of McLeod has tested positive for COVID-19 after working in La Loche.
Heather Scheidt was working at an Emergency Operations Centre where was exposed to the virus, and she is currently in self-isolation at her home.
**The Saskatchewan government will be lifting some restrictions on businesses and services in advance to the May long weekend.
Starting today (Fri), golf courses and drive-in theatres will be allowed to begin operations under specific guidelines.
**Manitoba reported no new cases of COVID-19, and one probable case has been identified as negative, bringing the province’s total to 289.
Four people are hospitalized, including one in intensive care; 252 individuals have recovered, and seven deaths have been reported, leaving 30 active cases.
**Manitoba is giving extra government officials, the authority to ensure public health orders are still being obeyed.
Through the Additional Enforcement Personnel regulation, there will be over three-thousand provincial and municpal officials able to enforce COVID-related orders, joining law enforcement, community and First Nations safety officers, and bylaw enforcement officers.
**On June 1st, some national parks will reopen partially. Some trails, day use areas and green spaces will be available where physical distancing is possible, and facilities such as washrooms and comfort rooms will be limited.
**As of Thursday morning, there were 73,401 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Canada with 5,472 deaths. Over 1.2-million people have been tested with about 6 per cent positive.
