A Man Charged With Hate Crimes Was Back In Court

A new court date has been set for a Redvers man charged with Willfully Promoting Hatred to an Identifiable Group, following the publication of an Anti-Semitic video on YouTube, in June of 2019. In Regina court yesterday, 30-year-old Travis Patron (pa-TRONE) was remanded to next Monday (14th), on the hate crime charge and unrelated assault charges, dating back to November of 2019. He was arrested February 15th, by the Carlyle RCMP, after the province’s Attorney General recommended charges be laid, in connection with the video. Mounties received reports of four similar videos and hate speech alleged to have been made by Patron, between April and July of last year, and these remain under investigation.
