After a year of work, RC Strategies brought forward a Master Recreation Plan for the city of Yorkton.

The purpose of the plan is to help council improve parks, sport, culture, and recreation programs, services, and facilities within the city and it was adopted by Yorkton city council.

Mayor Mitch Hippsley was surprised by how broad the plan was, believing it would contain some specifics that council should address.

He was also disappointed by how few respondents the surveys received, as less than 400 Yorkton residents provided their opinions on the Master Recreation Plan
