The federal government has announced will support and enhance Saskatoon-based mining giant BHP Canada to advance the development of its world-leading low emissions Jansen potash mine. The project will see BHP minimize their carbon footprint and and implement technology to further reduce emissions. It will also help secure well-paying jobs, and support Indigenous communities. This is the first new major potash project in Canada in over 50 years.
