A new court date has been set for a Brandon man, charged in connection with a violent incident in Russell.
Russell RCMP were called on the afternoon of June 24th, to a report of a 56-year-old man being assaulted, threatened, and having some of his belongings stolen.
While officers were on scene, the suspect returned, and began to hit the windows of the police vehicle in an attempt to break them.
The man resisted arrest, so Mounties had to use a taser to subdue him.
The suspect also caused damage to the Russell RCMP cell block.
39-year-old Michael Man faces numerous charges, and will return to Russell Provincial Court on December 18th.
