The Canadian Forces Snowbirds have a delayed start to their show season because of an accident last October, where a pilot had to eject, leaving the plane to crash-land in a field.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mike French says because of the investigation into the accident, training began late.

He adds every year, 3 new Snowbirds join the team.
Normally the shows would begin in May, but this year, for the Snowbirds 50th anniversary, the shows will begin in June.
