A woman charged in connection with a death last week on the Waywayseecappo First Nation has made her first court appearance.

25-year-old Talisa Brandon, of Waywayseecappo, is in custody charged with Manslaughter, and she will appear in Brandon Court again on July 31st.

Around 1:30 a.m. last Wednesday (July 5), Manitoba Police Service members were called to a home on Church Road, where they found a seriously injured 23-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation continues, and the victim’s name hasn’t been released.
