Over the past few months, SaskTel has expanded its 5G network to more than 50 cell sites across Saskatchewan, to give residents and businesses increased connectivity.

Some local areas are included in the recent 5G rollout, including along Highway 10 west of Melville, as well as Fort Qu’Appelle north, and Lestock north.

It’s part of a five-year, 1.6-billion-dollar capital investment in Saskatchewan’s 5G and fibre networks.

SaskTel says that in addition to faster internet speeds and greater connectivity, the 5G rollout will support technological advancements , in areas such as agriculture, transportation, remote healthcare, and online learning.
