Manitoba will be providing financial support for charities and not for profit organizations
Premier Brian Pallister announced the non-profit summer student incentive program.
“Charities and non-profit organizations will be eligible to receive 6-thousand additional dollars in financial assistance, if they have hired at least one summer student under our Summer Student Wage Subsidy Program.” he said.
“Non-profits and charities just have evidence of a summer student being hired and payment will be processed very soon thereafter. The first 3-thousand dollars will be paid on confirmation of the first student being employed, the remaining $3-thousand at the end of the summer employment.” he added.
In total, not for profit organizations and charities will be eligible for up to 25-thousand dollars to hire five summer students through the Summer Student Recovery Program.
