The Saskatchewan New Democrats have elected Carla Beck as their new leader. The MLA for Regina Lakeview beat Saskatoon-based lawyer Kaitlyn Harvey receiving 68 percent of the vote to become the first women to lead the party, and replaces Ryan Meili as the Offiical Leader of the Opposition after he won the position in 2018 but resigned in February to allow the party to rebrand. Beck added that after some celebration last night, it would be back to work this week.
