A 28-year-old Dauphin man was killed and a woman was injured, when the ATV they were riding went into a ditch and struck a tree.

It happened around 7:40 yesterday (WED) morning in the R.M. of Lakeshore.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Crane River First Nation was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say they were not wearing helmets.
