One of three people arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a home near Yorkton, has been sentenced to jail time.

In Yorkton Provincal Court today (Thu), a 16-year-old boy, who can’t be named due to his age, received 16 months of closed custody, to be followed by 8 months of community supervision.

He was also given a 5-year firearm ban, and he must supply a DNA sample.

Around 5 a.m. on December 28th, RCMP were called to the scene of a break and enter involving firearms, with several items and a vehicle taken.
