A new grant program has been introduced, to help rinks across Manitoba cover the cost of replacing inefficient lighting.
The limited-time initiative, administered through Efficiency Manitoba, is aimed at helping communities shrink their energy bills, and lower operation costs, through the Community Rink Lighting Initiative.
From September 1st through December 1st, rural, urban, First Nation and remote communities are invited to apply for the grants, which could cover up to 100% of reasonable lighting costs, including the labour needed to install it.
For more information on the program, email [email protected], and applications will be accepted online between September 1st and December 1st, at www.efficiencyMB.ca.
