Drug Seizure leads to charges against Dauphin woman

A Canada Day drug bust has led to an arrest in Dauphin.

On July 1st, Manitoba RCMP’s West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) conducted a traffic stop on 1st Street SE in the city, where a search of the vehicle turned up cocaine, illicit prescription drugs and cash.

Further investigation and a search of a residence on 4th Avenue SE uncovered 176 grams of cocaine, cannabis, prescription drugs, cash, a loaded rifle, unstamped cigarettes and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

42-year-old Katie Ann Schabler of Dauphin was arrested and faces several charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
