SaskEnergy Seeks Rate Hikes

Heating a home in Saskatchewan could get a lot more expensive soon. Natural gas provider SaskEnergy has asked the rate review panel for a one year commodity, and 3 year delivery service rate hike which would add almost $17 to your monthly bill. A sharp jump in what SaskEnergy pays for gas is the main reason. The increases would be phased, with a combined commodity and delivery rate increase on August 1, 2022. Year two and year three delivery service rate changes would take effect on June 1, 2023, and June 1, 2024, respectively.
