The ribbon cutting of a new insurance business in Yorkton took place today (Mon).

Lakeview Insurance is located at 385 Broadway Street East. They specialize in Agricultural, Commercial, Auto and Home insurance, among other services.

Partner of Lakeview Insurance Dave Nussbaumer says he’s opened businesses in Yorkton before, but called this a little bit of a challenge.

“We’re starting right from scratch and we’re lucky we got good partners,” he said. “I think we’re going to do well being locally-owned, local guys.”

In addition to Yorkton, Lakeview has offices in Martensville and Blaine Lake, and several locations in Alberta and Manitoba.

Nussbaumer notes that a fundraiser for Carla’s Crusaders was also held at the event.

“Carla Onslow…is doing a walk for pancreatic cancer next Sunday, July 31st out of Good Spirit Lake.” he noted. “We told them come and set up and do a Barbeque fundraiser.

We’re matching every dollar that people are donating. I think it’s going to be a very good payout for them ’cause a lot of people are being very kind.”
