Manitoba RCMP released their crime statistics for the month June.
The province’s west district saw a moderate drop of 12% in calls for service, while the East district reported a decrease in calls for service by 6%, and the North district saw a 28% increase.
Despite the decrease in calls for service, there was a large increase in drug enforcement throughout the district, which included a 46% increase in drug possession, and a 74% increase in drug trafficking.
Missing persons reported dropped by 37%, while there was an 11% decrease in crimes against the person, and an 11% decrease in crimes against property.
