Criminal proceedings have ended against a man, accused of burning down his own Yorkton business. In July of 2010, a fire destroyed Heiser’s Health and Fitness and three other businesses, on First Avenue North. 36-year-old Chancey Heiser was charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life, Arson for a Fraudulent Purpose, and Fraud. However, his criminal matters were stayed, after the judge at his civil trial ruled that the fire wasn’t deliberately set.
