Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP continue searching for a wanted man

Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP continue to search for a wanted man.

Jarrett Poitras has been the subject of an arrest warrant since June 18, 2021 after he failed to appear in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench that day for a hearing regarding his bail status. He was found guilty of 7 charges, including Armed Robbery.

The charges stemmed from a series of robberies on the Muscowpetung First Nation two years ago.

On March 4, 2019, RCMP said at the time a convenience store on the reserve was robbed of money and tobacco products, then on July 23, the same store was robbed and a home on the reserve was broken into.

Poitras is described as 5-foot 11, 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and has the following tattoos: the numbers ‘306’ on the underside of his left forearm, two bear paws on the bottom of his left wrist, the words ‘Family First’ on the top of his left hand, and a rose on the top of his right hand.

RCMP say he could be in Saskatoon or Regina, but is also known to frequent the Muscowpetung First Nation and Pasqua First Nation.

Officers with the Fort Qu’Appelle Detachment consider Poitras dangerous and should not be approached.

RCMP advise the public if you see him or know his whereabouts, call 911, your local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
