80 Years Since Pearl Harbor

Today is the 80th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It prompted the United States to enter the Second World War. In a speech to the House of Representatives declaring war the next day, then U.S President Theodore Roosevelt said “December 7th, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”
