Saskatchewan Reports 35 New Cases Of COVID-19, 79 Recoveries, No Deaths

  • As of December 13th, there are 35 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 81,852 reported cases
  • The new cases are located in the North West (1), North Central (5), Saskatoon (9), Central East (4), Regina (13), and South East
  • (2) zones and one (1) new case has pending residence information

  • 81,852 cases are confirmed
    • 19,934 cases are from the North area (8,859 North West, 8,238 North Central, 2,837 North East)
    • 19,517 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,974 cases are from the Regina area
    • 10,323 cases are from the South area (2,199 South West, 3,010 South Central, 5,114 South East)
    • 9,385 cases are from the Far North area (4,409 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,435 Far North East)
    • 6,176 cases are from the Central area (1,446 Central West, 4,730 Central East)
    • 543 cases have pending residence information
  • 568 cases are considered active and 80,347 cases are considered recovered
  • Almost one-third (31.4%) of new cases are in the age category of 40 to 59
  • More than one-half (58.1%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated
  • As of December 13th, a total of 110 individuals are hospitalized, including 76 inpatient hospitalizations and 34 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 110 patients, 69 (62.4%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • In addition to SK ICU counts, there is one (1) resident receiving out-of-province care in hospital. As this patient is receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.
  • No (0) new deaths reported today. 937 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
  • 1,300,100 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of December 9, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,096,047 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,302,852 tests performed per million
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 54 (4.5 new cases per 100,000)
