A suspicious death in the R.M. of Mountain is under investigation by Dauphin RCMP.

At 2:35 yesterday (THURS) afternoon, Mounties were called to the scene of an all-terrain-vehicle collision, on Provincial Road 489, near Provincial Road 271.

A 35-year-old Pine Creek First Nation man was found dead at the scene, while a 39-year-old woman was taken to hospital, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Manitoba RCMP have received several calls from the media, inquiring about a manhunt related to this incident, though police say there is no threat to public safety.
