An interim solution for the intersection of Highway 9 and Queen Street in Yorkton was the big topic of city council. Mayor Mitch Hippsley notes that the speed limit on Queen Street will be reduced to 70 km/h, as well as Highways 9 and 16 leading up to the intersection. Highway 9 between York Road and Broadway Street will be reduced to 60 km/h.
