November is a tricky month. It’s after Halloween but before the real jump into the Christmas season. That’s what makes it the perfect month to watch not-quite Christmas movies!

I define a “not-quite Christmas” movie as a movie with at least one Christmas scene but does not have the overarching theme of Christmas, Santa, or the magic of the holiday season.

Mean Girls is a perfect example! It has one of the most iconic Christmas scenes in media. But is not quite a Christmas movie, as the whole movie takes place over the span of a school year.
