This Christmas we made the trip to Preeceville to donate $1,000.00 to Filling the Gap in Preeceville. I met with Barb Biccum, Chair-Person of Filling the Gap. This is our second year being able to donate money back into the community, thanks to Patty and Garth, owners of Thirsty Dogz Liquor in Preeceville.

They were a major sponsor of the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook last year, and this year as well. I was at their store at the beginning of December, and we sold over 200 GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbooks. Thank you so much to everyone in Preeceville and the surrounding area for making the trip into town to pick up your copy.

Many of the business owners who advertise on GX94 have become friends, and Patty and Garth are one such couple. They sponsored GX94 Star Search in 2022, having us at the Preeceville Community Hall, and like I wrote above, they have sponsored the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook for two years in a row now. They are so great to work with, generous, fun, caring, and their store is really cool. Patty is widely talented! Look at that cake she made!

When I was in Preeceville, I experienced a first. A GX94 listener stopped by Thirsty Dogz Liquor and brought me a bouquet of flowers. He thanked me for all of the work I was doing with the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook, and all of the money we would be able to donate because of the cookbook. I almost started to cry. This meant so much to me. Thank you to that gentleman.
