The Legacy Co-op Food Store “Good Buy to Hunger” Celebration was held today (Wed) in Yorkton.
General Manager Harley McCluggan (Muh-CLUG-in) says the event was conducted during the month of December.
Cheques for nearly 66-hundred dollars each were handed out in Yorkton to the Soup Haven, Bruno’s Place, Shelwin House, and the Salvation Army.
One charity in Kamsack received 65-hundred dollars, and 1-thousand dollars was raised for a Churchbridge charity.
In celebration of the Food Store team hitting their fundraising goals, Grocery Manager Blair Malysh, General Manager Harley McClughan, Board President Clark Anderson, and Produce Manager Stew Winter, each got a pie in the face from a store employee.
