Chuckwagon Racing!

With today being the first full day of Spring, my mind has raced to the summer, and chuckwagons! (Get it, raced … chuckwagon racing!!! I know I’m pretty funny.)
Plus we have our new fancy picture from Kelvin Hawreluik and his GX94 Chuckwagon in our studio. Thank you Kelvin, we love it!

I’m counting down the days to the Northwest Roundup and Exhibition in Swan River!

Chuckwagon racing season is always a highlight of the summer. The thrill of the competition, the sound of hooves pounding against the dirt, and the rush of adrenaline as the wagons thunder around the track – it’s an experience like no other. And I find it terrifying watching Kelvin, and his son Tanner, racing! I’ve said it before, I don’t know how Shauna, Tanner’s mom, does it!

Kelvin races all over the prairies in the summer, Yorkton, Sheho, Swan River, Prince Albert, Canora, Preeceville, Kelvington, Pilot Butte to name just a few!

I met the Hawreluik family at the Northwest Roundup and Exhibition in Swan River about 7 years ago, and they left a lasting impression on me, plus we became friends! Their passion for racing and dedication to their craft is truly inspiring. It’s incredible to think that they have been a part of the GX94 family since 1991, and I feel privileged to be able to cheer them on year after year. Summer can’t come soon enough!
