Workplaces thrive on camaraderie and good-natured fun. Sometimes, pulling off a harmless prank can bring everyone closer together, creating memories that last a lifetime.

One legendary office prank was what Benny Walchuk and I pulled yesterday, celebrating a co-worker’s 50th birthday. Meet Danny, our morning show host who took his birthday off. You don’t do that, especially when you work in radio. Because that means we HAVE pull some kind of prank on you. “Happy 50th Birthday to Danny from all of us at GX94. Give him a call and wish him a fantastic day!” The phones in the studio started ringing off the hook.

We had calls from listeners believing that Danny was actually 50, and some saying, “I thought he celebrated his 50th birthday a few years ago. ” I guess we’ve tried this one before. Benny even gave Danny some tips on reaching the big 5-0. I love our job.
