Swan River man charged with assault, vandalism back in court

A Swan River man arrested in connection with two incidents at the same residence has a new court date.

37-year-old Jeremy Gingras appeared in Dauphin Wednesday, and was remanded in custody to July 24 in Swan River.

Just before midnight on September 24th, Mounties say a man broke into a Swan River home, assaulted a man, stole a cell phone and a bicycle.

The next morning, the same suspect broke into the same home, smashing items, stealing a hammer, then proceeded to a Main Street business, where he allegedly smashed two parked vehicles, and windows of a business, with flying glass injuring a female employee.
