Accused in alleged kidnapping make first court appearance in Yorkton

Two of three men charged in connection with a drug bust and alleged kidnapping, have made their first appearance  in Yorkton Provincial Court.

On Monday, RCMP executed a search warrant at a Yorkton business, arresting 23-year-old Parteek Sandhu, of Etobicoke, Ontario at the scene.

Later that day, RCMP searched a rural location in the R.M. of Wallace, south of Yorkton, where they used drone technology to locate and arrest 46-year-old Ryan Langford of Yorkton.

At the scene, police found a severely injured, forcibly confined man in a barn, and he was taken to hospital.

Langford and Sandhu were in Yorkton Provincial Court on Wednesday, with Langford’s matter adjourned to August 7, while a bail hearing for Sandhu is set for August 8.

A Laval, Quebec man was also charged in the incident.
