Suncrest College Celebrates 20th Firefighting Graduation Class

On Friday, Suncrest College marked a milestone as it celebrated the graduation of its 20th Platoon of firefighting students. The ceremony took place at Melville’s CN Community Centre and the Saskatchewan Emergency Response Institute (SERI).

Ten students graduated, officially becoming professional firefighters. The graduates trained primarily at SERI, Saskatchewan’s only firefighting training center, located near Melville.

“With the demand on the rise for professional firefighting, Suncrest has a very important role to play in the safety of our province now, and into the future,” said Suncrest College President & CEO, Alison Dubreuil.
