In January, 37-year-old Donovan Oochoo pleaded guilty to Discharging a Firearm With Intent, and Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited.

On Friday in Regina Court of King’s Bench, Oochoo was sentenced to seven years in jail, but with credit for 1,485 days time served, he will spend just under three more years in prison.

Punnichy RCMP say that in December of 2021, two men got into an argument at a home, and one was shot by the other, with the victim being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
