Slow Down Summer.

Where has summer gone? Kids are back in school, the crops are being harvested, and the days are steadily becoming shorter and cooler. The shift is unmistakable. I’m not quite ready for fall just yet—though it’s not like I really have a choice. Change is in the air. Just yesterday, on my way to Melville, I couldn’t help but notice the trees starting to turn, putting on their vibrant fall wardrobe. There’s something undeniably enchanting about the colors of fall—the leaves painting the landscape with hues of red, orange, and gold. As much as I want to hold onto summer, I guess it’s time to embrace the cozy side of the season. Time to dig out my hoodie and long pants, and get ready for the autumnal treasures ahead. Pumpkin spice everything is about to take over. From lattes to candles, the scent of cinnamon and nutmeg will soon fill the air. Fall is here, and while I may not feel ready, there’s a certain magic in the transition that makes it all worthwhile.
