An update in the case of a Winnipeg man, wanted on warrants related to a stolen vehicle investigation in the Moosomin and Rocanville areas last month.
On August 21, Broadview RCMP were informed by Manitoba RCMP about a stolen Dodge truck heading towards the area, and later that afternoon, Moosomin RCMP spotted the truck on Highway #8 between Rocanville and Moosomin and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not comply.
An hour later, Moosomin RCMP received a report about a Ford F-150., that was located in Moosomin and also ignored police attempts to stop it.
RCMP say 35-year-old David Penner was arrested August 22 in Manitoba.
He’ll appear in Moosomin Court on September 24, on several charges, including Dangerous Driving, Flight from Police, two counts of Fraud Under $5,000, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, and five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000..
