Fishing Lake F.N. man wanted for Wadena and Foam Lake robberies

Wadena RCMP are searching for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Wadena, and a break-in in Foam Lake.

Shortly before midnight on Sunday, Mounties were notified of an alleged armed robbery at a Wadena business, in which a man entered the business, approached an employee with what appeared to be a gun, and stole items before fleeing the scene.

Then, around 1:20 morning, RCMP were notified of a break-and-enter at a Foam Lake business, in which a man, with what appeared to be a firearm, threw an object at the glass door of the business, smashing it to gain entry, before stealing merchandise, before leaving the scene in a black Jeep Patriot, with Saskatchewan licence plate 621-NNC, heading toward Main Street.

Following an investigation, warrants have been issued for 34-year-old Joseph “Joey” Desjarlais, of the Fishing Lake First Nation on numerous charges including Robbery with a Weapon, Break and Enter, and two counts of Using an Imitation Firearm in an Offence.

He is described as being five foot, seven inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes, short brown hair and a short beard, along with tattoos of the words “public” and “enemy” with flames on his hands, and “Bonnie and Clyde” on the right side of his neck.  When last seen, he was wearing a light brown hoodie and a fanny pack.
