New court date for Yellow Quill F.N. man charged with Second Degree Murder

A new court date has been set for a Yellow Quill First Nation man, arrested for the death of a woman on the reserve.

26-year-old Cole Smokeyday appeared in Rose Valley last Wednesday on three charges, including Second Degree Murder.

He was remanded in custody to Rose Valley on October 16th.

On August 18, Rose Valley RCMP received a report of an injured person at a Yellow Quill residence.

24-year-old Terrance Tony-Kishayinew was pronounced dead at the scene.
